We had the opportunity to visit the Borgioli factory in the beautiful fields of Tuscany in January this year, while our Spring/Summer 2015 Collection was going into production.
The Borgioli factory is an amazing place – full of highly skilled craftsmen doing amazing work and an array of complex tooling and machinery that cuts, presses, glues and buffs the different parts of a shoe together in over 100 separate processes, almost all of them requiring expert attention.
The level of attention and craft that goes into every pair is awe-inspiring – by the time they are wrapped and boxed around 40 different people have interacted with every pair – and we met almost all of them through the tour – a wonderful family atmosphere permeates the entire factory.
It’s a privilege for us to be manufacturing Foxhall footwear with a company like Borgioli – the result of which you can see in the Spring Summer 2015 Collection on sale now.
With innovations like the new leather Adams Tennis Trainer, the super-light summer brogues Nelson and McGraw, and the hit from 2014 – the Airy Summer Desert Boots in Grey, Beet and Navy this year. Including, Rampling – an urban brogue with a trainer sole – you won’t find a shoe like it anywhere else.
